Dr. Robert A. Hauser is Professor of Neurology, Molecular Pharmacology, and Physiology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. He also serves at the University as Director of the Clinical Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience and as Director of the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center, recognized by the National Parkinson Foundation as a Center of Excellence. Dr. Hauser is a board-certified neurologist specializing in evaluation and care of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, including tremor and dystonia.

His research focuses on the development of new treatments for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. His expertise includes clinical trial design and development, and he serves as Global or National Principal Investigator on multiple trials and is an active investigator for numerous trials designed to evaluate new therapies.

Dr. Hauser is Past Chairman of the Interventional Neurology Section of the American Academy of Neurology, is a member of the steering committee for the NIH Exploratory Trials in Parkinson’s Disease Program and previously served on the executive committee of the Parkinson Study Group.
